Arne Jacobsen (11 February 1902 - March 24, 1971) is one of the most influential danish architect and designer of the 20th century . He was educated at the Royal Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen, where he was a professor of architecture. Arne Jacobsen put his stamp on Modernist architecture and design for more than 50 years - not only in Denmark but also internationally.
His output was enormous and was based on a philosophy of creating total concepts, where everything was thoroughly designed, where there was a common thread between the building, furniture and other interior decor. Arne Jacobsen’s works is more significant than ever - and been a strong competitor for the last 20 years. He balanced on one side to be the elitist corporations and on the other hand, household name.
