Furniture these days is made of various type of materials from aluminum to iron and even plastic. But for the ones with a superior taste, the wood is always the best option. Wooden furniture is generally more long lasting and evergreen. Readymade furniture doesn’t provide much pick over the kind of timber that is used but custom cabinetry offers you the authority to choose the material according to your liking. But the type of wood that should be chosen depends on many things, for instance the purpose and the space. Maple is very famous for its smooth even surface. It is used in the creation of fine furniture, kitchen cabinets and bowling alley floors.
OAK
Oak is a really heavy hardwood and one of the most commonly used. There are further two kinds of oak, white oak and the red oak. Oak is well known greatly for its surface of hefty rings and circles. United States and Canada are gifted with many Oak trees. The oak tree can get stained easily so it is not difficult to get it coloredtinted in any other shade. Beech
Beech is also one sturdy hardwood used for making chair and tables. It is of pale shade typically and so it can be easily stained. In United States and Canada, Beech is grown in a good quantity.
Pinewood
Pine is softwood that is generally available in various parts of the world. There are many different types of pine like Ponderosa Pine and sugar Pine. Both types of wood are used in making furniture. Pine is mostly yellow in color. It is extensively used in making plywood and veneer. Pine is famous for its beautiful knots.
Cedar
Cedar is also softwood used for making furniture. One very distinct quality of cedar is its sweet aroma. This aroma makes it a very favorable for making chests and drawers as it fends off moths and bugs and also aromatizes the stuff kept inside.
Moreover there are several more kinds of wood, each with distinct characteristics and uses. Plywood, veneer and MDF (Multiple density fiber are relatively man made woods using sheets or laminates of other natural woods. In some conditions the usage of these woods is preferable than using the natural wood.
