• Empire State Building - The Empire State building is 443 meters tall, with 102 floors and was the tallest building for more than 40 years. At the pinnacle of the building lies a unique lighting system that uses different colored patterns, that indicate events, seasons and holidays. Due to the height of the building, the lights can be seen from miles.

• Shanghai World Financial Centre - The Shanghai World Financial Centre is 492 meters long, and is a mixed-use tower, as it consists of hotels, offices, decks, observation quarters, conference rooms as well as shopping centers. It has been planned in such a way to minimize the sway of earthquakes and windstorms. One of the distinctive characteristic of the building is its peak, which is trapezoidal in shape, and designed to resemble the expanding sun on the Japanese flag.
